Jorge Camaguey (Cuba/Spain)

Jorge was born in Camaguey, the city of “tinajones” (typical earthenware jars in Cuba) and has been fond of popular Cuban dances since he was 8 years old. He also founded the modern Camaguey Folk Ballet and today he is commonly known as “Jorge Camaguey” in Centran and Eastern Europe.
Jorge has been putting all his energy and swing from 1997 to teach and transmit his experience in the Cuban dances to everyone through the Salsa rhythm, mixing son with guaguanco, timba with hip-hop, casino with mambo-cha, etc. All these have resulted in a unique passion which he transmits to everyone.
Jorge has taken part in international congresses in countries such as Italy, Spain, France, Germany, etc.

Jorge Camaguey is unmistakably Cuban and great fun. He has a unique style of Mambo Salsa/jazz/afro-Cuban fusion that has to be seen to be believed. He has many years experience in performance (music/dance videos, dance troupes) and teaching. Some of his Salsa contemporaries have hailed him as the best dancer in Europe.
